Bulgarian boxer Detelin Dalakliev qualified late Wednesday for the quarter-finals of the Olympic boxing tournament in the bantamweight category (56 kg).
The 29-year-old captain of Bulgaria's national team beat Australia's 10 Ibrahim Bala by 14:10.
If Dalakliev beats his next opponent, Great Britain's Luke Campbell, Dalakliev will secure a medal in the category.
