Fire Engulfs Bulgaria Sofia - Varna Bus

A bus, servicing the regular Sofia – Varna line in Bulgaria, has been fully destroyed by fire Thursday evening.

The news was reported Friday by the Regional Police Directorate in the central city of Veliko Tarnovo.

The fire burst around 8:30 pm in a bus belonging to one of Bulgaria’s largest bus careers – Global Biomet. The bus has been totaled by the blaze.

The 37-year-old driver, E.M. had the proper license to operate the vehicle. There have been 28 passengers aboard. There are no reports of injuries.

The authorities are probing the cause of the fire. Pre-trail proceedings have been launched.
