Second College Student Murder Suspect Released from Custody

The second suspect, charged with the murder of college student Stoyan Baltov, has also been released from custody, Darik Radio reported Monday.

Vili Georgiev, nephew of a former police official in Blagoevgrad, will await his sentence while under home arrest.

In December, 20-year-old student Stoyan Baltov was killed in a drunken fight near a disco club in the Sofia student's district. The killing triggered mass student protests in downtown Sofia where protesters blamed state negligence for the tragedy.
