Bulgaria and Azerbaijan Reaffirm Strategic Partnership in Key Diplomatic Talks

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria, H.E. Elmar Mammadyarov, has officially begun his diplomatic mission after presenting copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Radi Naydenov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the Azerbaijani embassy.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and outlined prospects for further cooperation. Discussions focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, with emphasis placed on expanding collaboration in key sectors.
Particular attention was given to energy cooperation, including traditional and green energy projects, as well as broader economic connectivity. Additional areas highlighted included digital development, transport links, cultural exchange, and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
Officials underlined the importance of maintaining an active and continuous political dialogue, noting the positive momentum in relations in recent years. Azerbaijan’s role as a stable and reliable partner in regional energy security was also acknowledged during the talks.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership and further expanding cooperation across multiple fields of mutual interest.
