Bulgaria Elects New Parliament: Voter Turnout by 12 p.m. – 18,14 Percent

The voter turnout for the country by 12 o'clock is 18.14%  – data posted on the CEC website shows.

That means it is well below that of the 2017 vote, when the voter turnout by midday was 25.77%.

So far the highest turnout in Sliven - 24.87%, in Montana - 24.13%, in Silistra - 23.81%, in Lovech - 22.41%, Sofia Region - 22.23% and in Vidin - 22.14%. The lowest activity in Kardzhali - 12.13% and in Plovdiv - city - 12.96%.

In the three Sofia regional election commissions, the turnout in the 23th was 17.61%, in the 24th - 16.09% and in the 25th - 14.33%.

As of 12 p.m., 1,183,667 had exercised their right of vote out of a total of 6,525,625 eligible.

It depends on the turnout whether the decisions of future referendums will be of a recommendable or binding nature. In the previous parliamentary elections, the turnout was 54.07%, or 3.682 million Bulgarians who voted, more than in the two previous elections in 2013 and 2014.
