Macedonia’s President Gjorge Ivanov could not hand a mandate for forming a government to the leader of the second party in Macedonia’s Parliament – the opposition SDSM, stated its leader Zoran Zaev after meeting the head of state, reported BGNES.

“As the second party in Parliament, in terms of the number of deputies, we cannot receive a mandate to form a government. Ivanov’s instruction was that we have to prove that we have a majority according to the Constitution, which means 61 deputies whose signatures must be presented to the cabinet of Ivanov, after which we can receive a mandate,” stated Zaev.
