Judges from several city courts and the Supreme Court of Cassation (VKS) demonstrated in front of Sofia Court House on Friday evening to show their anger at last-minute amendments to judicial reform proposals passed by Parliament earlier this week.
The MPs' vote prompted then Justice Minister Hristo Ivanov to resign on Wednesday, arguing the amendments did not help pursue the course of reform and enforced the status quo of excessive powers for Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor.
VKS head Lozan Panov also attended the protest.
A separate rally started less than a kilometer away, in front of Parliament building, and headed to the Sofia Court House to join the judges.
The website Dnevnik.bg puts the number of protesters at 150 to 200.
