Bulgaria’s Lalova-Collio Qualifies for Women’s 200m Semi-finals in Bejing

Bulgaria’s Ivet Lalova-Collio qualified on Wednesday for the women’s 200m sprint semifinals at the Beijing 2015 IAAF World Athletics Championships.

Bulgaria's former European champion finished third in the seventh heat, clocking 22.54 seconds, just 0.03 behind her 2004 run in Madrid. Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith ran a personal best of 22.22 followed by Jamaica’s Sherone Simpson, 22.52.

The semi-finals will be contested on Thursday.

On Sunday, Ivet Lalova-Collio qualified for the 100m semi-finals after clocking a personal season best in the heats. She, however, failed to make it to the finals on Monday with 11.13 in the third semi-final round.
