The Bulgarian high school senior Stefan Stoykov, who had been admitted to all Ivy League universities across the US, has now made his choice.

After scoring a perfect 2,400 out of 2,400 on the SATs, Stoykov had been admitted to virtually any higher educational institution in the US. He is also his school's valedictorian and a winner of the National Merit Scholarship.

The 18-year old had moved across the ocean from Bulgaria with his parents when he was just a child. He didn't know any English and struggled with school in the beginning.

While in high school, he was more than active, participating in the Science Olympiad team, the stock market club and the cycling club. He also volunteered and tutored his classmates after school.

The final choice is now known - Harvard is the winner in the competition.

"It was difficult to turn down offers from many amazing schools around the country," Stoykov stated, as quoted by the Indianapolis Star Tribune. "I felt that Harvard offered the best fit for me personally, but I really could not have made a wrong choice regardless of where I chose to study."

In a previous statement to media, Stoykov said that he had been inspired by the perseverance and support of his mother, who has been working as a housemaid for years.
