The French security forces stormed almost simultaneously both hostage sites – the kosher supermarket in Porte de Vincennes district in Paris and the printing shop in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele.

The suspected Charlie Hebdo gunmen, who had taken a hostage at a printing shop in Dammartin on Friday, were killed in the assault, the BBC reports.

The suspected perpetrators of the Charlie Hebdo massacre, brothers Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi, fired as the security forces stormed the building.

According to media reports, the hostage, who had been taken by the brothers, was freed.

Amedy Coulibaly, who is suspected for the murder of a policewoman in Montrouge on Thursday and taking several hostages at a kosher supermarket on Friday, was killed.

At least four of the hostages were killed, media report.
