Sofia is going to hold Thursday evening the fourth edition of the charity event Evening of the Virtues under the patronage of British Ambassador – HMA Sir Jonathan Allen

The charity event is organized by For Our Children Foundation, and is dedicated to children with disabilities.

The cause of the evening is to raise funds by which to find families for abandoned children with disabilities, and to provide medical and social care of children with special needs.

The 2013 edition will focus on the participants' personal involvement. The event will include two main elements ? the already well-established auction, which this year will be combined with dance performances of Bulgarian business leaders.

The dances will be an example of how everyone can do something remarkable ? including outside their traditional role ? and dedicate personal time and resources for the good future of Bulgaria's children.

Hosts of the Evening of the Virtues are journalists Mira Dobreva and Drago Simeonov, who have supported the causes of For Our Children for years.

For Our Children Foundation expects over 200 guests from the cultural and business circles

In 2012, BGN 146 000 were raised which were used to create a Family House for small children and to find dozens of foster parents for abandoned kids.

One of the traditions of the Evening of the Virtues is to have as patron a popular and respected person who will stand behind the cause with his/her values and beliefs.

In the past editions, patrons of the event were Bulgarian EU Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva in 2011, Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova and former Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov in 2010, and TV journalist Silva Zurleva in 2009.

The event will be held at Sofia Event Center in Paradise Center.

The For Our Children Foundation reminds that there are over 1 200 children with disabilities in Bulgaria confined in institutions, and thousands more are kept at home. These are children with mental and physical disabilities who require daily care and active rehabilitation, but are mostly craving for love and attention that institutions rarely provide.

We need your support so Novinite.com can keep delivering news and information about Bulgaria! Thank you!
