Code orange has been declared for six Bulgarian regions Monday over the forecast for gusty winds.

The forecast has been issued by the Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS.

Code orange for wind is effective for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven and Ruse.

Code orange means intense weather situations with potential damage, injuries and casualties.

The rest of Bulgaria is under Code yellow.

Code yellow means potentially dangerous weather, where the forecast is not for unusual meteorological events, but requires people to exercise caution.

The wind will also bring cooler air and rain overnight Monday into Tuesday.

On Monday, temperatures are to reach anywhere between 25C and 30C, (25C in the capital Sofia).

The weather on the Black Sea Coast will be sunny with moderate winds. Temperatures will be between 31C and 34C degrees and 26-27C for the sea water. The weather situation will worsen seriously in the evening when the gusts will arrive, accompanied by rain and thunder.
