Chinese MPs Arrive on Official Visit to Bulgaria

A Chinese parliamentary delegation is arriving in Bulgaria Saturday, the Bulgarian Parliament press office informs.

The delegation, led by the Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese General Assembly, Dja PeiSin, will be in the country until July 16.

The visit was initiated by the Deputy Chair of the Group for Friendship with China at the European Parliament, Bulgarian MEP, Iliana Ivanova.

The Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Tsetska Tsacheva, will meet with the Chinese MPs on Monday in the building of the Parliament. The talks will focus on partnership between the two legislatures, and opportunities to expand relations in the economic and tourist sector and increase investments.

The agenda further includes meetings with the Chairman of the Group for Bulgarian-Chinese Friendship, Dimitar Boychev, with  Culture Minister, Vezhdi Rashidov, and Deputy Transport Minister, Kamen Kichev.

The Chinese MPs will also tour the old capital Veliko Tarnovo, the architectural and ethnographic complex Etara, the Museum of the Rose in the town of Kazanlak, and the History Museum in the town of Panagyurishte.
