The opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, begins another round of consultations with other political forces for the submission of a new no confidence vote against the cabinet.

The news was announced Tuesday, at a meeting of the party's leadership. The Socialists are considering two motives for the vote – failure in the internal affairs policies or overall failure of the cabinet.

BSP further informed they hoped the no confidence vote will enter the Parliament in July, saying they would support a no confidence vote of the right-wing Blue Coalition or the marginal, conservative Order, Law and Justice, RZS, party and do not insist on being the initiator of such vote

On June 17, the cabinet of the ruling, center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, party expectedly survived the second no confidence vote, after the October, 2010 one, which was over the failure in the health care policy. The June vote was for the overall failure in the anti-crisis policy.

124 Members of the Parliament from GERB, independent MPs and the three who recently left the far-right, nationalist Ataka party, voted in support of the cabinet. The Blue Coalition, RZS, and Ataka did not take part in the vote while BSP and the other major opposition formation – the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, collected 70 votes.

As early as the results of the vote became known, the opposition declared they will submit a new one, on different grounds. On Monday, RZS started their own debate on a no confidence vote over the failure of the Interior Ministry, same as the one mulled by the right wing.

However, the Chair of one of the two parties in the Blue Coalition, Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, DSB, and Co-Chair of the Coalition, Ivan Kostov, stated Tuesday that any no confidence vote before the fall presidential and local elections would be useless and a waste of time.
