Twelve Bulgarian Members of the Parliament and three cabinet members are celebrating Sunday their name day.

Bulgarian Orthodox Christians honor Palm Sunday - Tsvetntisa-Vrabnitsa, to mark the triumphal arrival of Christ into Jerusalem. Tsvetnitsa is devoted to all who have names associated with flowers and plants.

The parliamentary group of the ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, party has the most MPs with "flower and plant" names, starting with the very Speaker of the Parliament, Tsetska Tsacheva.

Actually, the entire GERB party has a holiday Sunday since its members are often nicknamed gerberas, from the party's abbreviation.

The far-right, nationalist Ataka is second with 4 MPs, followed by the right-wing Blue Coalition and ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, with 1 MP each.

The three ministers, celebrating their name day Sunday are: Justice Minister, Margarita Popova, Regional Minister, Rosen Plevneliev, and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

The Chief Secretary of the Interior, Kalin Georgiev, and the Head of the State Commission for Classified Information, Tsveta Markova, are among other officials having their name day.
