The Sofia City Hall is launching Monday a campaign for the spring cleaning of the Bulgarian capital.

The campaign is to conclude on April 21.

A tent has been installed at the main entrance of the city's central park "Borisova Gradina," where people wishing to join the campaign can receive free gloves and trash bags.

The Mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, announced that over 4 000 Sofia residents and 60 businesses have confirmed their participation, pointing out this time around the City Hall is to focus on neighborhood streets and asked owners to move their cars from the roads that are being washed.

The City Hall vows to provide the needed supplies and remove the collected waste in a timely manner.

Fandakova also informs that this is the time for Sofia residents to leave large-size trash near the dumpsters to be picked up.

Citizens can obtain more detailed information from the City Hall's phone operators on duty and from its official web page.
