Google Instant, the new service by Google Inc. that automatically serves results as one types, has gone live in Bulgaria, two months after its official launch in the United States.

At the end of September, Google Instant went live in 12 new countries — including Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Ukraine.

Now, Google Instant has become available in 18 additional countries - Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Finland, Hungary, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Norway, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, and Vietnam.

Individuals in the aforementioned countries will have the opportunity to see results before they're finish typing their queries in their respective local languages.

The company key technical insight was that people type slowly, but read quickly, typically taking 300 milliseconds between keystrokes, but only 30 milliseconds (a tenth of the time!) to glance at another part of the page.

In a statement, Google said that the most obvious change is that people get to the right content much faster than before because they don't have to finish typing the full search term, or even press "search." Another shift is that seeing results as one types helps formulate a better search term by providing instant feedback.
