Bulgaria Police: No Explosives in Suspicious Package to Israeli Embassy

No explosives have been found in the suspicious package addressed to the Israeli Embassy in Sofia, the police announced.

Earlier on Friday police officers from the Bulgarian capital sealed off the area of a downtown post office because of a received suspicious letter.

The police was alarmed at 9:30 am Friday that a suspicious package has been received at a post office, located at the Skobelev Blvd in Sofia.

It has not been announced who the receiver was supposed to be, but the letter has been addressed to the Israeli Embassy in Sofia.

The Bulgarian Interior Ministry said it would disclose more details later.

On November 2, a bomb package was discovered in the Bulgarian Embassy in Athens. The Greek police then discovered a total of nine more bomb packages.
