Bulgarian Police Check Suspicious Parcel to Israeli Embassy

Police officers from the Bulgarian capital have closed off the area of a downtown post office because of a received suspicious letter, the Interior Ministry has announced.

The police was alarmed at 9:30 am Friday that a suspicious package has been received at a post office, located at the Skobelev Blvd in Sofia.

At the moment, specialists are checking whether the letter contains an explosive device.

It has not been announced who the receiver was supposed to be, but the letter has been addressed to the Israeli Embassy in Sofia.

The Bulgarian Interior Ministry said it would disclose more details later.

On November 2, a bomb package was discovered in the Bulgarian Embassy in Athens. The Greek police then discovered a total of nine more bomb packages.
