The legendary Orient Express train, which only once a year runs its original route from Paris to Istanbul, will pass Tuesday by the Bulgarian cities Ruse and Varna.

The train will make a 40-minute stop at the central train station in Ruse at 12 pm and will after that proceed to Varna, where it is expected to arrive at 4:15 pm and leave at 8 pm for Turkey.

Orient Express is a luxury train, owned by Venice-Semplon Orient Express, a private venture using original carriages from 1920s and 1930s.

The whole route from Paris to Istanbul takes 7 days and costs about EUR 6,000.

Traveling with Orient Express was a tourist attraction since 1930s. Today's tourists have the chance to enjoy the atmosphere of the time between the two World Wars, which is implemented in the interior design of the train.

The first run of Orient Express on its route from Paris to Istanbul was on October 4, 1883.

The glamor and rich history has made the train legendary and it has been used in the plots of many books, films and documentaries.
