The state body for consumer protection said it is starting night-time inspections at restaurants and places of entertainment in seaside resorts for violations of clients' rights.

The inspectors are to check up if the category of the place fits the quality of service and whether there are separate price lists for charging Bulgarian and foreign visitors, a common practice until recently, which has now been banned by law.

The raids are part of a campaign of the Commission for Consumer Protection for seasonal inspections of resorts.

Seven tourist sites along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast will be closed following the state body for consumer protection inspections.
