Bulgarian President Greets Obama for July 4

Bulgaria's head of state Georgi Parvanov has sent a letter to American President Barack Obama with greetings for July 4, the national holiday of the United States.

“Our countries appreciates highly the great progress in the cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA, which has turned into a strategic partnership over the past few years. The strategic and allied character of out bilateral partnership is a serious prerequisite for improvement our cooperation even further,” Parvanov states in his letter to the US President.

He points out that this is the case for all spheres of the Bulgarian-US relations – security, trade, investments, science, and education.

The Bulgarian President also emphasizes Obama's personal contribution to the excellent bilateral relations, and expresses hopes for continued cooperation.

He also mentions the unprecedented global economic crisis in the context of the “decisive measures undertaken by the United States to tackle it.”
