The European Commissioner for Consumer Protection, Meglena Kuneva, will launch a nation-wide information campaign in Bulgaria on January 21.
The initiative, under the slogan "In the European Union you have consumer rights. Stand up for them!", will aim to promote consumer rights among Bulgarian citizens and business, the EC Representation in Bulgaria has announced online on Monday.
The campaign, which will run throughout 2010, has been organized by the expert and financial support of the European Commission and is part of its efforts to ensure that Bulgarian citizens actually benefit from the rights of European consumers.
Commissioner Meglena Kuneva will present the objectives of the campaign. Partners in the initiative, Bogomil Nikolov, Director of Active Consumers (former Bulgarian National Consumers Association) and Harry Dimitrov from the creative team of Lowe Swing Communications will present the main campaign materials.
Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Traicho Traikov has been invited to attend the opening, which will take place at the EC Representation headquarters in Sofia.
