Information about, Michael Jackson, has been found in the files of the East German secret police, the Stasi, because of a concert the King of Pop gave near the Berlin Wall in 1988.

This has been announced Thursday by the German Bild reported, as cited by BGNES.

The Stasi feared many people would attempt to crash through the forbidden zone near the Brandenburg Gate and listen to the concert.

"Certain youngsters (in some cases named specifically) are planning a confrontation with the police", a Stasi file dated May 4, 1988, said.

The Stasi's idea was to bring the young people to a stadium in East Berlin where the concert would be retransmitted on a large screen with a two-minute delay. The authorities intended to replace any unsuitable Western "provocation" with a tape of an old Jackson concert

However, this plan was never put into action. The police violently dispersed those who attempted to get close to the Wall when the concert took place on June 19.
