Bulgargaz has submitted a proposal to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) suggesting a natural gas price of €35.98 per megawatt hour (MWh) for May, excluding access, transmission, excise duty and VAT. The application has been published on the regulator’s website and is now awaiting review.

The proposed level represents an increase of 4.99% compared to April, when the approved price was €34.27 per MWh under the same conditions.

The Commission is about to consider the proposal,” the document notes, with the regulator expected to proceed with the standard review process before a final decision is taken.

EWRC will hold an open discussion on the application, after which the final price for May will be determined in a closed session, in line with the regulatory procedure.
