Woman Killed by Train in Novi Iskar

A tragic accident occurred in the Novi Iskar area, where a woman was struck and killed by a train.

The incident took place last night at approximately 8:45 p.m. Authorities from the Sofia Police told Bulgarian National Radio that preliminary information indicates the woman had been walking on the tracks at the time.

Tests conducted on the train driver for alcohol and drugs came back negative, ruling out impairment as a factor in the accident.
