Covid-19 in Bulgaria: 400 Newly Infected, 48 Fatalities

In the past 24 hours there have been 400 new cases of coronavirus after a total of 5,454 tests. The tests positivity rate is 7.3%, show the data of the Single Information Portal.

Since the pandemic began there have been 397,500 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria.

As of 26 April, there are56,650 active cases. A worrying fact is that 746 patients are in intensive care wards and there are 8,080 people in hospitals.

The most new cases are in Sofia-city - 151, followed by Varna with 50 new cases.

There are no newly established cases in the regions of Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Vratsa, Montana, Haskovo.

Case count by regions: Burgas - 25, Veliko Tarnovo - 8, Gabrovo - 12, Dobrich - 9, Kardzhali - 2, Kyustendil - 3, Lovech - 3, Pazardzhik - 2, Pernik - 11, Pleven - 11, Plovdiv - 28, Razgrad - 7, Ruse - 18, Silistra - 5, Sliven - 5, Smolyan - 4, Sofia - 25, Stara Zagora - 11, Targovishte - 1, Shumen - 2, Yambol - 7.

There are 557 people cured. Since the outbreak of the epidemic 324,943 have recovered.

In the last 24 hours 48 people have died. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of fatalities has been 15,907.

There are 2,070 vaccines administered. 723,240 are vaccinated so far since the start of the campaign in December 2020.
