Covid-19 in Bulgaria: 418 Newly Infected, 57 Fatalities

In the last 24 hours there have been 418 new cases and 1,441 cured of coronavirus. This shows the statistics as of April 19, according to data from the Single Information Portal.

Yesterday, 4,644 diagnostic tests were made – 2,654 PCR and 1,990 antigen, positive tests account for 9% of the total.  

The active cases by April 19 were 64,508.

Hospitalized with COVID-19 in Bulgaria are 9,229, 783 patients are in intensive therapy units.

The battle with the disease lost 57 people and 1,441 were documented as cured.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 15,195 casualties in Bulgaria, 306,678 people have been rehabilitated.

The total number of confirmed cases was 386,381, of which 12,849 were medics.

The most are the newly recorded cases of coronavirus in Sofia, Varna and Burgas.

Statistics of the day by regions: Blagoevgrad - 0 new cases, Burgas - 26 cases, Varna - 67, Veliko Tarnovo - 19, Vidin - 6, Vratsa - 11, Gabrovo - 3, Dobrich - 4, Kardzhali - 7, Kyustendil - 4, Lovech - 11, Montana - 1, Pazardzhik - 7, Pernik - 12, Pleven - 7, Plovdiv - 23, Razgrad - 9, Ruse - 17, Silistra - 3, Sliven - 10, Smolyan - 0, Sofia-city - 125, Sofia-region - 14, Stara Zagora - 16, Targovishte - 4, Haskovo - 8 , Shumen - 2, Yambol - 2.

On Sunday, 1,227 vaccines were administered and the total number of vaccinated since the start of the immunization campaign is now 638,443. A second dose has already been given to 128,538 people.
