The travel restrictions for domestic and international flights landing in Greece will be extended until 5 April, as part of the Greek government’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country, GTP reported on Sunday.

Travelers to Greece should pass 7-day quarantine on arrival, a measure that was already there. All coming from abroad are required to fill out the PLF form and should also submit a negative Covid-19 PCR test result performed up to 72 hours before arrival in Greece.

They may also be requested to take a rapid Covid-19 test upon entry, depending on the data provided on the PLF forms, and if the rapid test is positive for the coronavirus, then they must quarantine for a total of 14 days.

At the same time, as of Sunday, some restrictions are scrapped. The ban on flights from Turkey, and the restrictions for flights from Albania and North Macedonia, are lifted. The number of arrivals from Russia for which the entry is allowed is increased.

The temporary ban on entry into Greece from outside the EU has been updated as well. Only citizens from UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Rwanda, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Russian Federation and Israel are exempt from the ban.
