The Bulgarian Minister of Health believes that COVID-19 tests for parents and students should be free in case of an infected child in class. He said this at a briefing in Dobrich, held together with the Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev.

"These tests will be free for students and parents - they should be free," said Minister Angelov in response to a question about who will pay in case for infected children at school.

Prof. Angelov reiterated that there is a working group with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health, which by the end of the month should decide on the new rules in schools. For now, all that is known is that the classes will start in person.

It became clear that 2 million coronavirus vaccines are planned for Bulgaria, within the framework of the General Agreement with the EU, and the vaccination will be completely voluntary and optional.

"Bulgaria participates as an EU member state in the General Agreement, we have signed it, according to which, when a vaccine is produced that meets safety standards, as well as it is effective enough, then Bulgarian citizens will have access to it. We have provided 2 million vaccines, all accessible to the vulnerable groups - retirees over 65, doctors and people with chronic diseases. Vaccination will be optional and will be free. We can withdraw from this agreement at any time, "Angelov assured. / dariknews.bg
