China's food supply company Ele.me, owned by Alibaba, was authorized by the authorities to provide 17-droned shipments at Jinshan Industrial Park in Shanghai.

The approved routes cover about 58 sq. Km. Of the industrial park, Bloomberg TV Bulgaria reports.

Customers will receive their orders for about 20 minutes, with the choice of about 100 different restaurants within the Park.

Local News The South China Morning Post wrote that the drones would only operate between 2 fixed locations for each route, the BBC reported.

Employees at the starting point will collect orders and will put them on the drones. People from the point of delivery will collect everything and deliver the orders to users.

Ele.me claims that the delivery of drones will be much cheaper than traditional.

The company began its first similar deliveries in September last year with the E7, which can carry up to 6kg of food at a top speed of 65 km / h.
