British Air Force Typhoon fighter aircraft based in Romania will join NATO patrol flights in the Black Sea airspace, reports the Royal Air Force UK website.
The official permission was given at a ceremony yesterday in the Romanian airbase "Mihail Kogalniceanu", which is located 50-60 km north of the Bulgarian border.
In the words of British Ambassador to Romania, Paul Bremel, such missions ensure that NATO "will be able to swiftly and effectively oppose potential aggression or threat to the Alliance and its members."
