Gallery 2.0 is a completely new type of a gallery. It is a combination of a cozy gallery, a coffee corner, a place for work, meetings and even lectures. On Saturday together with VR Express, they created an open-access Tilt Brush space painting panel so that more people could experience the possibilities of presenting art in a virtual environment. People were not only able to create their own piece of art in a Virtual Reality, but they could also see and experience Rustwo’s art part of his solo show Low Opacity.

I had the pleasure to talk more about the exhibition with Delyana Angelova from Visionary Foundation-a platform for contemporary visual projects.

''As an organization that works closely with street artists, the question of how street art is presented in a gallery space naturally has arised. We were looking to emphasize on this contrast between the street art and the gallery, and Rustwo expressed it in a very fine manner. I am happy that when we came up with this idea to Maria and Milena from Gallery 2.0, they loved it as well, and here it is how Low Opacity solo show was born. We also wanted to give the opportunity to creative and socially engaged people to express themselves in a new way - to experience the VR, so we involved VR Express to help us do that.’’

The event successfully represents the connection between art and Virtual Reality. ‘’The digital prints, part of the exhibition, are also available online. By scanning a QR code placed next to it on the column, you will be able to experience the seemingly illusory motion that makes images alive in your hands.’’ added Delyana.

Georgi from VR Express talked about the famous installation of Theodore Ushev in Gallery 2.0.’’ In a Mirror, Dimly was a very appealing installation and actually, it was not the first installation that included Virtual Reality before Theodore Ushev there were students from England who did a similar installation at the gallery. ‘’

VR Express uses VR equipment for more than 3 years. The VR Express team offers a new type of entertainment or an innovative way to escape from everyday life. With the virtual reality headsets ("helmets"), gamepads, motion sensors and other peripherals people can play a variety of games, video clips and 360-degree photography. They can even enjoy simulators for educational applications.

In Gallery 2.0 everyone can still see the amazing art of Rustwo who is a famous contemporary graffiti artist.

The exhibition is unique because it successfully manages to present an urban art in a gallery environment. LOW OPACITY Solo show by Rustwo will be on display till May, 4th   at Gallery 2.0.
