Midnight Drama in Varna, a Man Killed a Neighbor and Killed Himself

Pre-trial proceedings for a murder with subsequent suicide of the perpetrator are led by the District Prosecutor's Office in Varna.

Around 1.00 am after midnight, 24-year-old Tsvetan A. began to throw various objects from the balcony of his home in Mladost. The young man came out on the balcony naked and screamed. The noise of the cries and the rage awakened the neighbors. A 112 emergency call was issued, the prosecution announced.

Tsvetan crossed the barrier between the two balconies. The 84-year-old Minka M lived in the apartment. After the door to her apartment was broken by the police officers arriving from the Ministry of Interior, the old woman was found dead. She was murdered with a lot of blows.

In the apartment was also found the body of Tsvetan, who committed suicide by plugging cables into the electrical socket. There is evidence that he was suffering from a mental illness.

A site inspection was carried out under the supervision of a monitoring prosecutor at the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Varna. They have questioned witnesses about the actions of the 24-year-old man.

Today, autopsies of the two bodies will be carried out and expert appraisals will be made to identify the causes of their death. Investigations continue.
