Yogi, a Dog with a Human-Looking Face, Sends Internet into Frenzy

What happens when you mix a Shih Tzu and a poodle? A human!

At least that's what it sort-of appears in the case of Yogi, a dog with human-like expression and piercing eyes that has caused an Internet sensation.

Social media users posted side-by-side images of Yogi with actors such as Jake Gyllenhaal and Paul Rudd.

ogi’s owner, Chantal Desjardins of Portsmouth, N.H., said the attention amazed her. Oddly, she had not noticed any resemblance to a human before.

"The crazy part is, I shared it on my Facebook back in December and it was just put on Reddit last week," Desjardins told ABC News.

“My favorite comment that I saw was Nicolas Cage dressed up like an Ewok, which, I’m like, 'I get that,'" Desjardins told Inside Edition. 

Some have suggested Yogi’s face has somehow been manipulated in photos, but Desjardins swears the images are unaltered.

Now, she says, she somewhat understands the level of wonderment.  “I get why people see it in some pictures," she told Inside Edition.

Desjardin told People magazine that Yogi came from a local breeder. She also has another shihpoo, Darla.
