NIMH: Short Spells of Rain for most of the Country Before Noon

Today, the cold front will pass through Eastern Bulgaria. Before noon, most of the country will see considerable cloudiness with short spells of rain, accompanied by lightning in places but clearing skies are expected across Western Bulgaria. There will be moderate, in Northern Bulgaria temporarily strong west wind. The maximum temperatures will range between 13°C and 18°C. This is the weather forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, quoted by FOCUS News Agency.

The Black Sea coast will be mostly cloudy, the cold front will bring short but heavy rains and thunderstorms. In the evening the skies will clear. There will be moderate south wind becoming west before noon with maximum temperatures ranging between 12°C and 17°C.

The mountains will be cloudy with short spells of rain, turning to snow over 2,000 m. Thunderstorms, mainly in the Rhodopes. In the afternoon, the rain will stop in most areas and the cloud will clear. There will be moderate, over ridges strong, west wind. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m will be about 9°C and at 2,000 m about 3°C.
