The Democratic Union of Albania (DUI) on Sunday is expected to decide whether to join hands with conservative VMRO-DPMNE to form together with it the country's next government.
DUI has been refraining from a decision for days, almost exhausting the week-long deadline VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski has in order to form a cabinet.
Macedonian media outlets have quoted the party's leader Ali Ahmeti as saying "all options" are being analyzed.
Coalition talks are expected to continue after 14:00 local time.
DUI spokesperson Buyar Osmani has admitted that the party has held a meeting with represetatives of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM), the second-largest party in the new Macedonian parliament that hast just to seats less than VMRO-DPMNE.
No party will be able to create an independent majority in the new legislature.
If DUI refuses to join hands with Gruevski, the mandate will be handed over to SDSM's leader, Zoran Zaev.
