The men's volleyball nation team's former coach, Radostin Stoychev, will work for the team of Iran, having signed on Monday, sports media outlets report.

Iran has decided not to renew the contract of Raúl Lozano, his predecessor.

Stoychev headed the Bulgarian team between 2010 and 2012, with stints at several volleyball clubs after his departure from Bulgaria.

He was fired as the coach of Bulgaria amid politically tinged infighting within the national volleyball federation.
