Berlin Metro Attack Suspects Not in Bulgaria, Police Say

There is no information that any of the four suspects in the attack on a woman in the Berlin metro has returned to Bulgaria, the head of the country's police has announced.

Earlier this week, German authorities argued that both the attacker and the other three people seen on CCTV footage as a woman is kicked in the back were Bulgarian nationals.

The man blamed for the attack was said to have returned to his homeland.

However, there is no European Arrest Warrant for them as of the moment and the Interior Ministry is not searching for any of the four men, according to Hristo Terziyski, who heads the Interior Ministry's National Police Directorate.

Bulgarian authorities have provided cooperation to German counterparts as the latter are conducting an investigation into the case, in his words.
