Bulgaria's Levski PFC 'May Change Ownership Again'

Spas Rusev, the businessman who was transferred the ownership of Bulgaria's renowned Levski football club this year, may be preparing to leave club, sources say.

Rusev got the all shares at Levski earlier this year.

The London-based entrepreneur, who had acquired a major stake of Bulgaria's biggest telecom, Vivacom, in 2015, was seeking to turn Vivacom into the major shareholder of Levski.

However, reports by Darik Radio, which cites a recent interview with Spas Rusev suggest the other shareholders of Vivacom would only agree to sponsorship of Levski.

The debt-ridden team which has already received BGN 10 M worth of packages.

Rusev has now published with the Commercial Register an invitation for an extraordinary assembly of shareholders scheduled for February 03, 2017 at which Levski's oversight structure and statute will be overhauled.
