German Lufthansa Cancels 800 Flights

German carrier Lufthansa has cancelled 800 short-haul flights on Tuesday due to the pilots’ strike, reported AFP.

About 82,000 passengers have been affected.

Another 890 flights will be cancelled on Wednesday, including some long-haul flights.

The reason for the strike which started last week is the long-term disagreement between the management and the pilots on the amount of the pilots’ remuneration.
