The strike of Lufthansa pilots has become indefinite, announced the spokesperson of the pilot syndicate, reported dir.bg.

There is no deadline for the end of the strike, stated Jorg Handverg, spokesperson of the Cockpit pilot syndicate. He pointed out that the purpose of the pilots is to receive an offer by the German carrier and then the strike will end.

Handverg noted that the syndicate has the support of its members. They do not expect us to go soft on Lufthansa, added Handverg.

Given Lufthansa's health results, the syndicate wants a 22% increase in wages backdated five years and valid until April 2017.

Lufthansa will cancel 137 flights on Saturday, affecting more than 30,000 passengers.
