110 Kg of Marijuana Discovered at Danube Bridge 2

110 kilogrammes of marijuana have been discovered during an inspection in the area of Danube Bridge 2 Vidin-Kalafat via the joint efforts of Bulgarian and Romanian customs and police authorities.

The drug was hidden in a vehicle leaving the country, driven by a 26-year old Bulgarian citizen, announced the Customs Agency.

Travel documents showed that the vehicle was transporting refrigeration equipment from Bulgaria to Germany.

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated and the driver remains in custody.
