The option “I do not support anyone” will be available in the ballot for the run-off of the presidential elections on Sunday but will not, in fact, influence the outcome.

Tsetska Tsacheva (GERB) and Rumen Radev (BSP) will race in the run-off.

There is no constitutional requirement for electoral activity at the run-off i.e. the candidate who receives more votes will be elected president, no matter how many citizens participate in the vote.

Even if the “I do not support anyone” votes are highest in number, the candidate who has most support will be elected head of state. At the first round of elections, the “I do not support anyone” votes were 214,094.
