Trump Advisor: US Should Hand Over Gulen to Turkey

The Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen, whom Ankara considers to be the main organiser of the failed coup attempt in July, should be handed over to Turkey, suggests in an article for the Hill edition Michael Flynn, a retired United States Army general and advisor to the newly-elected US President Donald Trump.

According to Flynn, relations with Turkey must be a priority of American foreign policy.

“It must become clear that the role of Turkey is of significant importance to US interests and that Turkey is a source of stability in the region,” commented Flynn.

The US media suggest that Flynn may become Secretary of Defence in the Trump administration.
