Donald Trump Elected US President

Donald Trump has won the US presidential election after a heated race with Hillary Clinton.

The real estate mogul will become the 45th President of the United States. He will move into the White House in January.

As of 08:00 GMT, he has won 288 electoral votes, 270 being needed to become President, according to various projections.

Trump has already vowed in his victory speech to be President of all Americans, after a months-long, divisive campaign.

"We will get along with all other nations willing to get along with us," he has also said. 

Earlier, he swept through the key battleground of Florida, according to CNN and ABC projections. No Republican has made it to the While House without securing Florida over the last 92 years. 

He also took Ohio and North Carolina, securing an edge in a surprisingly tight race.
