Police Detain 24 Migrants Near Bulgaria's Karnobat

Twenty-four irregular migrants were detained near the Village of Draganovtsi, in the area of Karnobat, Eastern Bulgaria, police say.

Three vehicles were shown the stop baton for police checks in the small hours of Thursday.

Law enforcement officers then spotted the migrants packed inside each of the vehicles.

All migrants on the vehicles told police they were from Afghanistan.
 
Four people - three drivers and a passenger - were also remanded in custody.
