Socialist-backed presidential candidate Rumen Radev is likely to emerge as a winner in a tight race at the runoff vote in Bulgaria on November 13 judging from current voter intentions, a Gallup International Bulgaria poll has suggested.

Radev's support in the runoff is be projected at 32.1%, slightly above that of the main ruling party's candidate Tsetska Tsacheva, whose support is at 31.3%.

The "I do not support anyone" option in the vote - introduced for the first time under the lastest amendments of election rules - could, however, change the result.

Gallup International's poll, made by phone among 1003 people between October 23-25, are by no means and election forecast, but rather reflect current attitudes to the leading candidates.

While there is on mandatory runoff requirement under Bulgarian law, none of the 21 candidates is expected to garner more than 50% of the vote, and a second round will have to pit the two leading candidates against each other.
