US republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has refused to say he will accept the result of the November 08 election.

At his third and final debate with democrats' Hillary Clinton, Trump has said he will "look at it at the time", amid his own allegations that the election is "rigged".

CNN, however, quotes his campaign manager Kellyanne Conway as indicating Trump will accept the election outcome in the end.

Trump's statement has triggered discussions in TV studios and on social media, with his supporters citing the precedent of Al Gore in 2000 who also contested the result after losing to George Bush.

The debate in Las Vegas has been marked by some harsh accusations on both sides, with Clinton describing Trump as the "puppet" of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump retorting: "You're the puppet!"

The two candidates have clashed over immigration, borders, trade, the federal budget, healthcare, regulations on bearing arms, the Middle East and a number of other issues.

Clinton has reiterated she will push, unlike incumbent Barack Obama, for a no-fly zone in Syria, if she is elected.

But she has also accused her opponent of being the most dangerous person to run for President.

A remark by Trump, in which he refers to Latino immigrants as "bad hombres", has left the public divided, with his supporters claiming it was taken out of context.
