Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has warned Bulgarian citizens planning visits to Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir and Gaziantep to take into consideration the risk of terrorist attacks.

The threats of terrorist acts are focused on key places in the cities (airports, bus and train stations, harbours, squares, tourist sites, commercial malls, markets, places with a high concentration of people), announced the press centre of the Ministry.

With a decision of the Ankara’s District Governor, a ban has been introduced on mass events in the city until November 30 for security reasons.

Earlier, the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) sent a letter to the authorities in all 81 provinces of Turkey stating that members of Islamic State (IS) are planning terrorist attacks in Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir and Gaziantep.
